Abercrombie and Ficth, one of the worlds’ leading high end travel firms, will start operating to the Sri Lankan market effective September, 2013. This was revealed by the firm’s CEO Ian Coghlan, when he met the Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa in Colombo last week.

Coghlan told the Minister that Abercrombie and Kent will focus on sending high end tourists to Sri Lanka from various destinations in the world. The firm’s local partner is United Holidays (Private) Limited.

The firm which has a global network of 63 offices in 30 countries is also planning to train selected Sri Lankan hotel staffs to meet luxury standards in the future.

Bhashwara Gunarathna, Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism and Afghar Mohideen, Chairman, United Holidays (Private) Limited was present at the meeting abercrombie london.
